Maximalist users of Gemini can now experiment with its version 2.5 pro. This weekend, Google announced its new policy “The beta test/model is being offered to everyone, although subscribers will have tighter limits on their rates.”
The new model which is named Gemini 2.5 Pro, described in great detail a week ago, was first made available for Gemini Advanced users. It is now accessible through Google AI Studio and the Gemini app, alongside other new programs introduced by Google.
As Google stated, “Gemini advanced users have expanded access and a significantly larger context window” which explains why other free users do not have the option available to them as of now.
It is the first model under Google’s series of Gemini 2.5 “thinking” models that aim for a powerful and reasoning like capabilities of intellect. While claiming this feature is under development, Google also stated its logic of AI analysis which includes the ability to reason, deduce, situate and make contextual decisions.
